On Saturday, 4 November 2023, the annual commemoration of Wilfred Owen death in 1918 took place in the village of Ors. Organised by the Wilfred Owen Association France and hosted by the Mayor of Ors, Jacky Duminy, a service was held at the cemetery, where the National Anthems of the UK and France were played followed by readings of Owen's 'The Last Laugh' in English and French. Children from the village laid poppies on Owen's grave. A reception followed in the Salle de Fête and included the launch of Jeanne Marie Dineur's new French/English edition of Owen's poems, Quelques lignes. The evening culminated in a concert of Schubert and Shostakovich by the Franz Quartet and readings of Owen's poems by WOA President Elizabeth Owen and poet/author Xavier Hanotte.
