Hospital Barge

"A barge round old Cerisy slowly slewed"

A recent photograph where, as in Owen’s poem Hospital Barge, the barge has indeed slewed across the canal. The lock keepers have opened the sluices prior to manoeuvring the barge’s "bulging amplitude" through the lock-gate.
