The committee is honoured to announce that Owen Sheers has accepted the Wilfred Owen Poetry Award for 2018. He will be appearing at the Central Shrewsbury Baptist Church in Shrewsbury, on Saturday, 15th September at 15:30, to receive the Award and to present his tribute, in this centenary year, to the abiding memory of the Great War. Attendance to the presentation is open to members and non-members, and tickets cost £7.50, payable in cash on the day.
We will also be joined by Chris Bent, who will be presenting an illustrated lecture on Wilfred Owen in France, 1913-1915.
