
Wirral songwriter Dean Johnson will be holding a special free event to raise awareness of Wilfred Owen in Birkenhead. As well as songs and poems from Dean's new show "Bullets and Daffodils", there will be facts and photographs of Wilfred's Wirral landmarks, free handouts and a chance for the public to create their own poetry based on Wilfred's life in the town.
The first Manchester Peace Festival will be held from 18th to 25th September 2010.
Two building associated with Wilfred Owen are participating in Open House London this September - The Reform Club, Pall Mall and Royal Liberty School (formerly Hare Hall), Romford.
The Ivor Gurney Society is organising to trip to Flanders, taking in some of the places Gurney knew during the First World War.
This trip, organised by the Siegfried Sassoon Fellowship, will focus primarily on Sassoon’s experiences and those of other war poets, and there will be something for everyone. A guided tour of the In Flanders Fields Museum is one of the activities already confirmed.

The AGM will be at 5pm. The Poetry Award Presentation will be held between 6pm and 7pm. The 2010 recipient is Professor Jon Stallworthy.
