A display looking at the experience of artists during World War I, at war and at home, which will include letters, sketches, drawings, sketchbooks, and other archival items.
In Association with the Imperial War Museum and as part of a nationwide programme Bookfest is presenting a series of events commemorating
the First World War.
The annual hommage to Wilfred Owen will take place in Ors on November 4th, the 98th anniversary of his death.

'All about the Boys' is a play about the poet Wilfred Owen by Robert Fanshawe. The play will be performed at the Gulbenkian Theatre on Saturday November 12th at 7.30.
The Wilfred Owen Association Annual General meeting will be held on Saturday 26th November 2016 at The Gateway Education and Arts Centre, Chester Street, Shrewsbury, SY1 1NB. Proceedings will commence at 11 am with tea and coffee. Attendance at the AGM is free and is for members. We are honoured to announce that the Poet Laureate, Dame Carol Ann Duffy, has accepted the Wilfred Owen Poetry Award for 2016. She will be appearing at the Gateway, Shrewsbury, on Saturday 26th November 2016 at 2pm, to receive the Award and to present her tribute, in this centenary year, to the abiding memory of the Great War.
A day of music, poetry and historical lectures to celebrate the life and works of Wilfred Owen, in his home town of Shrewsbury.

The Wilfred Owen Association is jointly hosting the Alliance of Literary Societies meeting to be held at The Rivers Suite in the Edinburgh Napier University, Craiglockhart.
“When Wilfred Met Siegfried”, an afternoon event held 100 years to the day that Owen and Sassoon first met at Craiglockhart.
