The afternoon will begin with a buffet lunch, followed by two speakers: Peter Parker and Robert John Fanshawe. Peter Parker is well-known to members. He is the author of books about A. E. Housman, Christopher Isherwood, J. R. Ackerley, and others, and will speak about Housman's influence on Siegfried Sassoon and other poets. Robert John Fanshawe is a former officer in the Royal Marines and the author of two novels: All About the Boys: The Last Days of Wilfred Owen and The Cellist's Friend.
