A new play set in Ors just days before the 1918 armistice was announced. The camaraderie between Wilfred and his men, the longing for home and the long suffering acceptance of the war set the scene for the final day of Wilfred’s life. His poetry runs through the play bringing to life the whole experience of being a soldier in the ‘Great War’.

Composer Patrick Hawes has been commissioned to set the words of Wilfred Owens’ unfinished poem ‘I know the music’ as a choral piece in commemoration of WW1. The Royal British Legion, Poppy Appeal Concert in Henley-on-Thames on 8 November 2014, will feature the World Premiere of the new choral music.
The London Mozart Players and The Portsmouth Grammar School will present the World Première performances of a major new co-commission from Jonathan Dove on 9 November 2014 in Portsmouth Cathedral and 14 November in Fairfield Halls Croydon. For an Unknown Soldier is a setting for tenor solo, children’s choir, adult chorus and chamber orchestra of nine poems about the First World War. Opening with a setting of Wilfred Owen’s portentous ‘1914’, the work offers a moving meditation on the tragedy of war with poems by Mary Gabrielle Collins, Helen Dircks and Ivor Gurney among others.

The presentation of the 2014 Wilfred Owen Poetry Award to Sir Andrew Motion.
"All about the Boys" is a dramatisation of Wilfred Owen's last battle and his death, written by Bob Fanshawe. The play is set in Shrewsbury at the Owen family home as well as Northern France as Lieutenant Owen's platoon attempt the crossing of the Sambre-Oise canal.
A series of expert speakers and authors present workshops and talks to bring you insight and food for thought on differing aspects of World War One.
The Shropshire Horticultural Society is hosting a charity event from 6.30pm on Friday 16th January 2015 at St Chad’s Church in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. The event will be an evening tribute to the Shropshire poet Wilfred Owen and will raise funds for Combat Stress, the charity that cares for veterans suffering mental illness following their experiences.
For a one-off West End performance, Nicholas Ball will be joining "Bullets And Daffodils" (The Wilfred Owen Story), which is returning to The Jermyn Street Theatre, where it enjoyed a sell-out premiere in 2012.
