Strange Joy : The Poetry of War – Prof.Paul O’Prey, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Roehampton.
An event to raise funds for the Afghanistan Trust and St Dunstan's Charity for Blind Soldiers. The evening will include readings of Wilfred Owen's "Anthem for Doomed Youth" and "Dulce et Decorum est" by actor Ian Pirie.
Following their very successful 'Edward Thomas' event last year, this November's event, presented by The Siegfried Sassoon Fellowship with support from The Wilfred Owen Association, will be based on Sassoon's poetry and prose.

One of Merseyside’s most respected and recognised personalities Dean Sullivan will direct and narrate Dean Johnson's musical "Bullets and Daffodils" at The Ironworks on Remembrance Sunday.
