News - Tickets now on sale for the 2012 Poetry Award presentation

The Wilfred Owen Association is pleased and proud to announce that Gillian Clarke has agreed to accept the Wilfred Owen Poetry Award for 2012. Click here for more information

The Award presentation will take place at the Gateway, Shrewsbury, on Saturday October 27th. 

The presentation will follow a day of events, including the WOA AGM:

Noon-1pm AGM (all welcome, but only current WOA members can vote)

1pm-2pm Lunch (see below)

2pm-3.30pm Showing of the film Resistance, from the bestselling book by the poet, novelist and broadcaster Owen Sheers

3.30pm-4.30pm Discussion on Boarder Literature

4.30pm-5pm Tea (see below)

5pm-6pm Presentation of the 2012 Wilfred Owen Association Poetry Award to Gillian Clarke, with a discussion chaired by Meg Crane, Chair of the Wilfred Owen Association

The costs for attending the events after the AGM (the AGM is free) are as follows:

£7 for the film (£10 non-members)

£8 for all events, except the film (£11 for non-members)

£15 for all events, including the film (£18 for non-members)

Tickets can be purchased at the door.

Lunch and tea

Lunch and tea are not included in the above costs and may be purchased from The Gateway on the day.
